Your new career
This role supports the Coordinator Fleet Management and the Mechanical Workshop Supervisor. The Mechanical Workshop Supervisor overseas the daily maintenance of the heavy plant and is also heavily involved in the heavy plant renewal process.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Raise purchase orders for ongoing fleet contracts
- Update key reports
- Maintain the fleet management system
- Maintain the light fleet and plant renewal registers/spreadsheets
- Forward and update online fleet inductions
- Upload repairs and maintenance and fuel costs into the fleet management system
What you will bring to the role
We are currently looking for a dedicated person who has a good understanding of finance and fleet systems as well as skills writing reports, maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
To thrive in this role you will have:
- An interest in understanding plant, light fleet, and the renewal process of our fleet assets
- A drive to streamline and further enhance our fleet systems
Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements
- Certificate in Office Administration or similar (Qualification Check conducted) and experience in an administrative role (or greater experience in a relevant environment)
- Experience in the performance of high-quality administration
- Effective organisation skills, including organising meetings
- Proficient in the use and operation the Microsoft Office suites and all office equipment.
Desirable experience
- Experience in Local Government
- Experience in the use of fleet management systems.
Other requirements
- Current Victorian driver’s licence.
- You have the Right to live and work in Australia.
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) All positions within Council are required to have a current WWCC. All prospective employees cannot commence work with Council until they have a valid WWCC.
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
