Job Description

Your new career
As the Digital Transformation Program Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering strategic digital initiatives, business improvement projects and organisational change that enhance Council’s capability and service delivery. 

Working across the organisation, you will bring together people, systems and processes to drive meaningful transformation, ensuring projects are delivered effectively, governed well and embedded sustainably.

Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in project management, information technology, business, management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar role. (Qualification Check conducted). 
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering digital transformation, business improvement, systems implementation or organisational change initiatives within agreed scope, time and budget parameters.
  • Demonstrated project management and delivery capability, including planning, governance, reporting, risk and issue management, budget oversight, project documentation, progress monitoring, coordination of actions, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively with business areas and stakeholders to shape project approaches, translate business needs into practical delivery outcomes, and support successful implementation and transition.
  • Experience in procurement, vendor engagement and contract administration relevant to technology, systems or service delivery initiatives.
  • Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, influence priorities, negotiate effectively and lead change.
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and capacity to manage competing priorities, risks and delivery pressures in a dynamic environment.
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). 
    A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
