Job Description

Your new career
The Australian National Surfing Museum is the world’s largest accredited surfing museum and is a key tourist experience in the region. 

As Team Leader, you’ll oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated team, and drive engaging exhibitions, events, and collections care. You’ll also focus on growing visitation through targeted marketing and audience strategies.

The Museum is open seven days per week and the Team Leader’s hours of work are Tuesday to Saturday.

  • and bring energy and creativity to promoting the Museum

 

Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and budgets and administration, minimum 5 years experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff and volunteers
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Knowledge of surfing history and heritage
  • Experience delivering public programs, tours and education programs
  • Museum, gallery or tourism venue operations or management experience, desirable
  • Experience in delivering social media and marketing plans
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). 
    A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
