Your new career
Surf Coast Shire Council's Civil Operations team provide a wide range of services for the maintenance of the streets, footpaths and drainage across the municipality. An important part of this is sweeping our streets to keep our roads and drains clean and clear of debris.
What you will bring to the role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Street Sweeper Operator who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of our local community and their families.
To be successful in this role you will:
- have a keen eye for detail
- demonstrate the ability to maximise the performance of complex equipment
- and take pride in delivering high-quality work every time.
Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements
- Skills and knowledge gained through on-the-job training relevant to the position (particularly operation of street sweeping plant).
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of municipal assets.
- Experience in a Local Government environment.
- Current Victorian Medium Rigid (or higher) driver’s licence.
- A current Working With Children Check
- You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
